|
The purpose of the MOT test is to ensure that cars, LGV,
private buses and motorcycles are tested at least once a year to check
they comply with roadworthiness and environmental requirements. |
|
Vehicles should receive their first MOT when
they reach 3 years after date of registration. |
|
What does a garage check during an MOT test? |
| The way information is held about
MOT tests has changed. Records of test results are now held
on a secure central computerised database. This change has not
affected your actual MOT test. |
|
The new MOT certificate is a computer printed
document. It is your receipt for the MOT test and shows the
information that will be held on the MOT database. |
